Welcome to Travel the Seasons!
Ready to open up your travel world and start exploring travel throughout the year?
Let’s plan your next trip, help you choose the right gear for you and get to exploring the seasons!
When most people think of traveling, they immediately start to call it vacation and the first thing that comes to mind is lying on a beach with a margarita in hand. Now I love me a a good margarita, on the rocks with salt of course, but what if traveling didn’t have to be limited to just vacation time and a beach? What if traveling can be exploring cities within a few hours of where you live, or grabbing a flight for a weekend trip and hiking through the mountains covered with wildflowers in the valleys and snow on the peaks in the summer, or meeting up for an all girls trip to Iceland and getting to stand on a black sand beach while it’s snowing? This is a blog for everyone that wants to travel more and we will make it simple and easy to plan your next trip and the trips after that.
A little about me…

Hi, I’m April and I live in the desert southwest of Mesa, Arizona with my husband of 12 years, Chris, and our 4 dogs: Adele, Daisy, Lucy and Rocco! I was born and raised in and around Houston, Texas but have lived in Arizona since college. So I almost consider myself native since that is longer than most. Chris might beg to differ since he is a native Arizonan. Whatever you call it, I love exploring and traveling throughout Arizona and all it has to offer. You can find something new or revisit the same area time and again and still love it. My favorite season is fall with the changing colors of the leaves but a snowy winter is right behind it.
A big part of me finding my love of traveling the seasons…
It all relates back to the seasonal changes in Arizona and my love for fall that has turned into a love for all of the seasons. I think it also relates back to traditions when you are growing up…changing seasons as you go back to school, the holidays, spring break, wildflower seasons…etc. It leads to new beginnings and gives hope and inspiration for the upcoming year.
Photography…

I’ve always had an interest in photography and while switching jobs a few years back, I dove into it as a hobby and explored all types of photography: portrait, wedding, still life, product, event and landscape/nature…this last one is my first love of photography. I kept coming back to it time and time again while avoiding the others. Photography has become an escape for me. I have been in business management for 16 years for both big box retail and small optical business. When you manage for that many years it’s hard to turn it off, and photography and traveling are two things that help me unwind and get away from the everyday stresses of managing. Yet the idea of combining my business experience with photography and travel seems like a no brainer to me so here we are with a travel blog. I hope you enjoy the blog as it grows and changes…just like the seasons.
